Vegans That Rock!
It’s time for Friday’s Vegans That Rock!! He started out a creep but morphed into a prolific activist. He was selected as Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” and voted the 18th greatest singer of all time by Blender Magazine. OK Computer, tell us who it is. It’s Thom Yorke singer/songwriter of the band Radiohead.
His first vegan leanings came when he heard the Smith’s classic, ”Meat Is Murder.” Then there was the “impress a girl” reason. The big one came when Thom kept getting sick every time he ate meat. Once he stopped eating animal products, he ”immediately felt a lot better, a lot healthier. “ I hear you Thom. I have actually said those exact words.
Yorke continues, “I was concerned, as many people are, about that you’re not going to get all the things you need in your diet, you’re going to get sick all the time, but the exact opposite happened to me, so I never looked back, it was never a problem straight off.”
His hobbies include human rights , anti-war , Jubilee 2000, Amnesty International , CND, Friends of the Earth‘s Big Ask campaign, Free Tibet , Trade Justice Movement, Animal Aide and more. Such a caring vegan and one that can really rip up a stadium stage with his mumbly voice and piercing guitar. Thom Yorke, keep being an outstanding humanitarian and a Vegan That Rocks!!
