Vegans That Rock!
It’s Friday! Here’s something “you oughta know.” This Canadian vegan has the second biggest selling album by a female of all time. When she split up from her boyfriend (Full House actor Dave Coulier), she wrote a explicit revenge song about the break-up. The song was Alanis Morissette’s first single (You Oughta Know). It had the anger and language of punk rock and took pop music to a new level, especially from a female’s perspective. Do not mess with Alanis.
She’s always had food/body issues and struggled with bulimia and anorexia as a teenager. At age 17, she had a nervous breakdown. At 20, she’s rich. In 2008 she went vegan after reading Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s book “Eat To Live.” She ended up losing 20 pounds. When the 6-week Fuhrman diet ended, her vegan diet did not.
“I used to get out of bed in the morning and things were aching, and I just thought, this is what happens when you get into your 30s. But now I jump out of bed and have so much energy. I feel very alive. I have no more aches and pains, and my allergies are gone, too,” says Morissette about her life as a vegan.
Way to go Alanis. We hear you. Keep rockin it out acoustic or with a vengeance. You’re a Vegan That Rocks!
